Artist Statement
My artistic practice explores how care-based, non-hierarchical structures can be translated into textile form. I ask how networks rooted in relationship rather than control can express community, interdependence, shared knowledge, responsibility, and peaceful coexistence.
I investigate connections between people and human and non-human entities, understanding society as a relational network of equally valued beings. Through textile practice, I use threads as metaphors for mutual support: they do not compete, but hold one another. Textile materials carry memory and cultural meaning, linking biography with root and fungal systems. Participatory processes foster attentiveness, connection, and collective resilience.
